Right from the start of this season Adam Hadwin had his mind set on attending PGA TOUR Qualifying School, confident he belonged on the TOUR. After six rounds and finishing eight strokes behind the last Q-school qualifier he now has a whole year to reassess his phenomenal late season TOUR success and his disappointing visit to Q-school.

Seven days ago the final stage of PGA Tour Q-School held so much promise for the nine Canadian players.
It was the greatest number of Canadians who had ever reached the six-round grind.
What started out like a leisurely walk down the yellow brick road has turned into a rocky ride along a path of destruction for the eight remaining Canadians seeking membership privileges on the PGA TOUR in 2012.
A pair of talented Canadians, Maude-Aimee Leblanc of Sherbrooke, Que. and Toronto's Rebecca Lee-Bentham, propelled their way onto the LPGA Tour with full exempt status for next season by graduating in two different styles through the five day, 90-hole Qualifying tournament that concluded at the LPGA International Course in Daytona Beach, Florida today.

One stroke over a round of 18 holes can make or break you. It doesn't matter where it comes . . . on the first tee or the 18th green . . . just ask Brad Fritsch of Ottawa or Adam Hadwin of Abbotsford, the top two Canadians engaged in competing at the final stage of the PGA Tour Qualifying School.
With two rounds remaining five Canadians, including BC's Sue Kim of Langley and Kirby Dreher of Fort St. John, together with Stephanie Sherlock of Barrie, Ont., are all tied for 15th at 1 over par and within striking distance of LPGA membership at qualifying school in Florida.

Brad Fritsch of Ottawa and Abbotsford, BC's Adam Hadwin, two of nine Canadians at the PGA TOUR's final stage of qualifying school, turned Thursday's second round into their personal moving day by elevating themselves from well off the pace into the top 15 among the school of 173 players seeking employment for the 2012 season among the best golfers in the world.

Roger Beale, a native of Barbados where he now works as Director of Golf at the Royal Westmoreland, loves Canada, especially now after recording a 54-hole total of 14-under par to win the 2011 Titleist & FootJoy PGA Club professional Championship of Canada and a cheque for $12,000 while visiting Port St. Lucie, Florida this week.
