Furlong created the vision and led the team that bid for, organized and staged the highly successful Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games that have since been described as one of the most well organized Olympic events in the history of the modern games.

"We are excited to have Mr. Furlong share his vision to PGA of BC members that will certainly inspire and motivate all in attendance", said Donald Miyaszaki, Interim Executive Director of the PGA of BC.

Also speaking at the Spring Education Seminar will be Richard Bartram, Vice-President, Communications, Creative Services and Community Relations at WestJet to be speaking at the seminar.

"Mr. Bartram will enlighten our guests with a lively presentation about how a strong culture directly affects your success in delivering great experiences," announced Miyaszaki.

Following Mr. Furlong and Mr. Bartram, the PGA of BC will host the Annual General Meeting, proceeded by a Sales & Marketing training session put on by Randy Hnatko, President of Trainwest Management and Consulting Inc.

Day one of the seminar will conclude with the presentation of the 2011 PGA of BC Award winners and finalists.

Day two of the seminar begins with a presentation from Kevin MacDonald of Clarity Success Coaching who will offer help for uncovering your inner attributes that you inherently possess in his "S.T.A.R. within You" program, which is sure to captivate the audience in discovering their true potential.

Wrapping the all-star cast of speakers will be Becky Wilkins, owner of Retail Management Associates, who will provide insight for PGA of BC members in topics surrounding how to increase retail services and visual merchandising at your facility. This unique presentation is sure to add to the skills of being a well-rounded golf professional.

As additional incentive to sign up early, a limited number of copies of John Furlong's book, 'Patriot Hearts - Inside the Olympics that Changed a Country' will be provided to PGA of BC members in attendance, followed by a book signing presentation. Members are encouraged to sign up early since only a limited number of copies will be available and distributed on a first come, first served basis.
