The 19-year-old Griffin, who opened the tournament with an even par 73 (four birdies, four bogeys) to close at 140, recorded eight birdies over his final 20 holes and finished one shot ahead of Montreal's 17-year-old Corey Eccles (72-69).
Other Canadians in the field of 40 international players included Brandon Raine of Caledon, Ont. (T12); Joseph Kremer of Toronto (T17); Jimmy Min of Vancouver (T17); Amin Hasham of Vancouver (T24); Brad Holmes of Burlington, Ont. (26); David Anderson of Unionville, Ont.
