Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and opened in 1993, this par 72, 18-hole course offers a golf opportunity unmatched in the region. Carved out of the slopes of the Coast Mountain range in British Columbia, with elevation changes of more than 400 feet overall, this magnificent Whistler golf course is generous to the eye and provides enough fun and challenge for players of all levels.

EFFECTIVE DATE: -- -- -- -- -- ASAP

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Repairs and maintains all golf service related equipment and machinery.
• Repairs and maintains all Hotel Vehicles.
• Orders and manages a reasonable inventory of parts and service equipment.
• Will be required to perform general maintenance and handy work around the golf operation.
• Train, coach and supervise colleagues involved in the Golf Mechanics shop.
• Be Health & Safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment.
• Actively participate in The Fairmont Chateau Whistler's environmental program working towards sustainable operations.
• Complies with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts policies, procedures and code of ethics.
• Performs any and all other tasks which are assigned by management.
• Upholds the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1 to 2 years previous experience as a golf course mechanic is required.
• Certified mechanic is preferred.
• Fabricating experience is an asset (i.e. welding)
• Proficient at reel set up and reel grinding.
• Must be innovative and reliable.
• Toro certification an asset.
• Must be an individual who is customer service oriented and works exceptionally well in a team environment.
