However, in this week's qualifying school over the 7,000-yard Morningstar course in Parksville, B.C., the 32-year-old native of Mont. Saint. Hilaire, Quebec, set a record she'll long be remembered for by becoming the first woman to earn status on a men's professional tour via Q-School, albeit non-exempt status.

This year, however, his new found course management has him running away from the field.

A triple bogey seven on his final hole at Morningstar Golf Club turned a day of light showers in Parksville, BC into a real downpour for Riley Wheeldon who saw his opening round lead of four shots all but evaporate at the close of Wednesday's second round at the Canadian Tour's Spring Qualifying School.

It's no secret that Comox, BC's Riley Wheeldon can post low scores when he's on his game. He proved that in 2009 when he won the BC Junior Boys Championship with a final round of 8-under par and finished eight shots ahead of the field while tying the lowest four-round total in tournament history. Now, after the opening round of the Canadian Tour's Spring Qualifying School, Wheeldon has his touch back again.
