Over 600 National Golf Course Owners Association Canada members are offering free golf to kids under the age of sixteen who are accompanied by a paying adult during the national 'Take A Kid to the Course Week' program that will take place July 5-11.
Developed by the NGCOA Canada to encourage families and juniors to take up the game of golf, this cross-Canada campaign is designed to illustrate how easy it is to improve both your score and your relationship with your children or a child you know by bringing them out to the golf course.
"Golf provides kids with valuable life skills, such as perseverance, patience, and respect," states Jeff Calderwood, CEO of the National Golf Course Owners Association Canada. "They will enjoy quality time with family and friends and experience an activity that takes them away from the computer and into the great outdoors."
In addition to the free golf, certain courses will offer additional programming.
Merit Golf Vacations has generously donated the Grand Prize consisting of roundtrip airfare for two on Westjet and 3-nights accommodation at the Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort in Miami including two rounds of golf each.
Visit www.kidsgolffree.ca for further details or to enter the contest before July 11th, 2010. The winner will be drawn in late July.
