YOUR GUIDES TO COMPLETE GOLF:

Golf Conditioning Instruction: Dave Longmore, CGFI, PTS

Dave is Can-Fit-Pro certified Personal Trainer Specialist (PTS) and Titleist Performance Institute Certified Golf Fitness Instructor (CGFI). He also holds certificates in Advanced Sports Nutrition from Human Kinetics and Golf Conditioning from the American Council on Exercise. Dave has been in the fitness industry for almost 20 years and applies his philosophy of total body health when working with individuals or groups. Additionally, Dave is certified as one of BC's first K-Vest TPI 3D Instructors.

In 2009, Dave produced one of the golf industry's few golf fitness DVDs "The Outdoor Fitness Guru's Guide to Golf Fitness". This DVD features three golf-specific full-body workout programs for golfers of all skill levels.

Golf Mental Game Instruction: Dr. Chris Baxter, Ph.D., MNLP

Chris is North America's first Certified Mind Factor Coach and is qualified to provide the same mental game tools used by Europe's leading professional golfers including Lee Westwood, Darren Clarke, Paul McGinley, and Graeme McDowell. Chris is also a Certified Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), a Certified Master Practitioner of Time Linked Techniques ™, and a Certified Hypnosis Practitioner. Chris works with golfers of all skill levels and draws from his mental game toolbox to help clients reach new levels of peak performance in golf.

Golf Skills Instruction: Trevor Fraser, CPGA Teaching Professional

Trevor has been a Canadian PGA member and Teaching Professional since 2001. Before joining the Westwood Plateau teaching team in 2002, Trevor spent four years in Alberta learning his trade golf business and honing his skills playing competitive golf for his collegiate team at Lethbridge College. While there he called a private club in Calgary home before moving down the road to spend two years at the world-renowned Kananaskis Golf Club. It was during these years that he enrolled and graduated from the Canadian PGA Professional Golf Management Program.

More recently Trevor has been helping players of all abilities play better golf as Lead Instructor at the Academy at Westwood Plateau. He has taught players of all ages and abilities in many forums ranging from corporate groups to private sessions. He feels the style of teaching is as important as the instruction itself and modifies his coaching for each individuals' needs. As a seasoned Instructor who has taught well over 10,000 golf lessons, Trevor understands what elements of a lesson need to be there for you to reach your goals and improve your results in a measurable way.

"The biggest misconception of golf technique instruction today is that you have to first experience major setbacks before seeing better results. This simply isn't true for the vast majority of people I see each day. The feeling of a more solid, consistent golf shot is something you will experience right away!"

Golf Playing Lesson: Oliver Tubb, Canadian Tour

Oliver Tubb has been playing on the Canadian Tour since 2008 and has secured fully exempt status on Tour for the 2010 playing season by making the cut in his last 5 events of 2009. The highlight of the 2009 season came at the Jamaican Open, where he finished 2nd. Prior to joining the Canadian Tour, Oliver competed on a number of developmental tours and carded two victories on the Great Lakes Tour. Oliver had a great university golf career and represented Canada at the World University Championship in 2004.
