'Stormin' Norman Jackson, in his 40th year as a golf professional and enjoying his 20th season at the Cowichan Golf & Country Club on Vancouver Island, has received the PGA of British Columbia's highest honour with his selection as the HEAD PROFESSIONAL of the YEAR for 2009.

NormanJacksonHpof09pix.jpg"Naturally I'm delighted and honoured, but this tribute really speaks volumes for the outstanding job our staff performs each and every day with a membership that is a joy to serve," said the affable Jackson of the award he received during the PGA of BC's annual Trade Show and Awards banquet in Penticton October 14.

Despite economic woes that have plagued some golf outlets in Canada, Jackson has helped the Cowichan Golf & Country Club maintain its membership levels and his shop has experienced one of it's finest seasons. Cowichan is open year-round.
