Third Round - Canadian Men's Senior Championship

During Thursday's third round, Cooke carded two birdies and four bogeys, eventually settling for a 2-over par 74. Cooke has a three-day score of 69-70-74--213.

John Marlow of Kettleby, Ont., sits 3 strokes back of Cooke after shooting a 1-over par 73 for a three-day score of 69-70-74--216 (E).

Past Canadian Men's Mid-Amateur champion Frank Van Dornick of Camrose, Alta., shot the day's low round of 1-under par 71 and now sits tied for third. Van Dornick jumped back into the hunt after carding three birdies and 13 pars for a three day score of 73-74-71--218 (+2). Atlanta's Jerry Greenbaum is tied in third with a three round score of 73-72-73--218 (+2).

The Canadian Senior Championship is open to male amateur golfers who have reached their 55th birthday by September 1, 2009, with the winner being awarded the John Rankin Memorial Trophy. After 36 holes the field was reduced to the low 70 players and ties.

Final round action will start Friday at 7:30 a.m. with the last group teeing off at 11:50 a.m.
