Bellevue's Mike Haack Leads The PNGA Pack

Back-to-back four-under par 68s have propelled Mike Haack of Bellevue, Wash. into a two stroke lead heading into Thursday's final round of the 54-hole Pacific Northwest Golf Association Men's Mid-Amateur Championship at Homestead Farms Golf Resort in Lynden, Wash.

A co-leader after day one, Haack carded a bogey-free round on day two, with his four birdies coming on the back nine, and through 36 holes now is eight-under par 136.

However, just two shots behind and alone in second is Derek Berg of Kenmore, Wash. who used eight birdies to go along with 10 pars on his flawless bogey-free round of 64, which is one shot shy of Homestead Farms' competitive course record of 63.

Joining Berg and Haack in Thursday's final pairing will be Bjorn Bjorke of Port Orchard, Wash. who posted a solid one-under par 71 to sit three shots off the lead at five-under 139.

The field has now been cut to the low 60 competitors which came at a two-day total of 13-over 157.
