2nd Round -- 45th PNGA Senior Men's Amateur

John Gallacher of Burnaby, British Columbia shot a 2-under par 70---the low round of the day—to send a message to the leader, Chris Maletis of Portland, Oregon, that he's coming for him in Thursday's final round of the 45th Pacific Northwest Golf Association Senior Men’s Amateur Championship being played at the OGA Golf Course in Woodburn, Ore.

Maletis backed up his first round of 67 with a 72 Wednesday, brining his two-day total to 5-under par 139, however his four stroke lead has been reduced to three shots and lurking in second place at 142 are Gallacher and Seattle's Larry Daniels, who posted his second consecutive 71.

Maletis is seeking his second PNGA Senior Men’s Amateur title after a previous victory in 2007.

In the Open Division, first round leader, Richard Cardwell of Lakewood, Wash. extended his lead to 8 strokes, after shooting an impressive 1-under par 71 today.

The shot of the day came from Kevin McPhail of Portland who aced the par-3 #6 hole from 137 yards.

The OGA Golf Course, located in Woodburn, Ore.. is owned and operated by the Oregon Golf Association which is an allied association of the PNGA.
