Gudmund Lindbjerg -- Tuning Up For 2009

Gudmund, from Pitt Meadows, raced out to an early lead in the field of 176 with a 6-under par 66 in the first round but limped home with a 73 on day two to finish at 5-under 139, one shot in front of Harrison (69-71) from Predator Ridge Resort and two better than the host club's Schaeffer, who closed strongly with the low round of the day (73-68) to take third place.

Brock Waldron of Kelowna G&CC (73-70) and Okanagan Golf Club member Garry Gelowitz (74-69) tied for fourth at 143.

Despite an offering of $100,000, sponsored by Capri Insurance, Capri Travel, Voyageur RV and Harmony Honda, no one managed to collect the Hole-in-One grand prize.

One of the oldest and most storied golf clubs in the Interior of BC, the Kelowna Golf & Country Club now prepares to host the historic Ogopogo Invitational July 9-11.
