“This is the perfect B.C. Rockies experience for women who want to get out, improve their golf and enjoy time with friends,” Harrison McKay, director of marketing for Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, says. “Not only are the golf courses in great shape, but the new gourmet dining experience, spa and natural mineral hot springs make it an unforgettable getaway.”

The Ladies Only retreat includes two night’s accommodation for four people, in two standard mountain view rooms with two queen sized beds (pool view, suite, loft, kitchenette upgrades available), two rounds of golf per person (including golf cart), two golf clinics taught by one of the CPGA professionals, unlimited use of the driving range, 20 per cent off regular priced retail in both golf stores and unlimited access to the mineral hot springs, guest pool complex featuring steam room, sauna and hot and cold pools.

The Ladies Learn to Golf retreat is designed for beginners to have fun while learning golf. This package includes gold club rentals, four clinics taught by a CPGA professional, an accompanied 9-hole round of golf and unlimited practice on the driving range. Guests will also be accommodated for two nights in two standard mountain view rooms for four people, with two queen sized beds and unlimited access to the mineral hot springs and pool amenities.

Under the leadership of Peter Smith, the new director of golf, a new golf experience is being created at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort as they invest in the future and refine their amenities. For the last 11 years Smith has been director of golf for Greywolf at Panorama and was named Golf Professional of the Year by the BCPGA in 2005.

“We want to make sure we provide a warm and inviting atmosphere for women to come out to Fairmont Hot Springs Resort and begin learning to play golf,” Peter Smith says. “Golf shouldn’t be intimidating and this is just another way to encourage more women to take up the sport.”

Fairmont Hot Springs Resort is also offering the Classic Golf Getaway for $320 per person (based on double occupancy). It includes two night’s accommodation, two rounds of golf, breakfast and unlimited use of the natural mineral hot springs and pool complex.

With three courses, Fairmont Hot Springs Resort offers 45 holes of golf at its picturesque location on Hwy. 93/95 in the majestic B.C. Rockies, one hour from Cranbrook, B.C. and three hours west of Calgary, Alta.

The Riverside Golf Course is an 18-hole course set on the majestic Columbia River with the rugged Rocky Mountains as its backdrop. The winding Columbia River creates a natural and peaceful water challenge as fairways roll gently along its sloping banks.

Mountainside Golf Course is an 18-hole par 72 golf course with fairways skirting towering peaks and a view of Columbia Lake. This meticulously maintained mature course was the first 18-hole course to be built in the Columbia Valley.

Creekside, the par 3, nine-hole golf course, is the perfect choice for a family golf experience or those looking to learn the sport, or just brush up on their skills.
