Burneski, a member of Washington's Homestead Farms Golf Resort, sits on a comfortable 3-stroke lead at (74-75) 5-over par 149 in the 16th WSGA Women’s Amateur

Alone in second place is first round leader, Cathy Kim of Bellevue, Wash. Leslie Folsom of Seattle, Wash. also played her way into the final pairing group after rounds of 78 and 77 have left her at 155.

Defending Champion, Stephanie Corey of Seattle, Wash. and a member of the Gonzaga Women’s Golf Team, sits in 8th place at (80-81) 161.

In the 10th Senior Women’s Amateur, Murdoch, the reigning two-time BC Senior champion, also a member of Homestead Farms Golf Resort, took the 36-hole lead after a second round of 2-over par 74 gave her a two day total of 7-over 157.

Trailing by just one stroke at 8-over par 158 are first-round leader Yasue Alkins of Lacey, Wash. and Ginny Burkey of Fircrest, Wash.
 
Defending champion, Ann Swanson of Redmond, Wash. sits in a tie for 6th after rounds of 82 and 79 (161).

The championship calls for 54-holes of gross and net stroke play in the Amateur and Senior Amateur divisions.

Meanwhile, at Pullman, Wash., Renton, WA's Stefan Richardson, a sophomore on the University of Idaho golf team, shot a 3-under par 69 to follow his first round of 4-under 68 for a one stroke lead after 36-hole in the 83rd Washington State Men’s Amateur Championship at Washington State University’s Palouse Ridge Golf Club.

Richardson’s two-day total of 7-under par 137 leads last year’s runner-up, Derek Berg of Kenmore, Wash. despite Berg's low round of the day, a 5-under par 67 for a 36-hole total of 138.

Jarred Bossio of Olympia, Wash., and Kevin Tucker of Kennewick, Wash., are both three shots behind the going into today's final round.
 
Two former Washington State Amateur Champions remain in the hunt. 1975 champion Bob Burton of Everett, Wash., sits at a solid 3-under par 141 and Joel Dahmen of Clarkston, Wash., the 2007 champion and first round co-leader, sits at 2-under par 142.

Benjamin Gresley-Jones, Rossland, BC is tied for 30th at (74-73) 147.

The field of 144 has been cut to the top 63 at 7-over par 151.
