With the arrival of Spring, golf is on the mind of many Canadians, and Second Skin is announcing that the new Spring line for Canada's top professional golfer is now in select SportChek and Nevada Bob stores across the country. This marks the first year of a multi-year deal that sees Forzani Group Limited as the exclusive retail distributor.

The 2009 Spring line of the Mike Weir Collection, worn by Mike Weir on the PGA TOUR, features polo shirts ranging from $39.99-$74.99, outerwear tops from $69.99, pants from $59.99 and shorts from $49.99 and is currently available in over 25 independent Nevada Bob's nationwide and 129 SportChek stores across Canada, 24 of which have an in-shop Nevada Bob's Golf Shop, as well as select pro shops across the country.

"Second Skin's expertise in sourcing and design ensures that Mike will have the best quality apparel while competing on golf's largest stage," said Don Nichols, Executive Vice President of Second Skin. "Golf fans see Mike wearing the line as he plays on the PGA TOUR, but it was important to us that the line was available to every day Canadian golfers and our distribution through SportChek, Nevada Bob's and select pro shops across the country certainly achieves that."

"I'm very proud of the Mike Weir Collection, and of our work with Second Skin and the Forzani Group," said Mike Weir. "I'm pretty excited about this year's line and about being able to share it with golf fans across the country."

ABOUT SECOND SKIN
Second Skin Garment Co. was founded in Toronto, Ontario in 1988. It evolved into a leading edge outerwear company before entering into the Canadian golf market in the mid-1990s.

Since that time Second Skin has developed into one of the most recognizable brands in the Canadian golf industry. The trend-setting Hollas line was introduced in 2002 and remains focused on highly technical athletic lines for younger male and female golfers.

In May 2007, Waterford Industries, the licensee for Weir Golf apparel amalgamated with Second Skin Garment Co. In the spring of 2008 the Mike Weir Collection was introduced to the Canadian golf market and brought Canadian golfers a compilation of shirts that emulates the style and image that Weir delivers on tour.
