It took less than an hour for the 2009 Telus World Skins Game to officially sell out all tickets after going on sale to the public this past week, making it the second fastest sell out in the event's 17-year history.
Predator Ridge Golf Resort in Vernon, British Columbia, still holds the record, selling all tickets in just 20 minutes in 2000.
"The 2009 TELUS World Skins Game will visit the Québec City region for the first time this June and the overwhelming response to ticket sales indicates just how eager the province's fans, and golf enthusiasts from across the country, are to watch some of the world's most talented golfers in action," said Karen Radford, president of TELUS Québec.
Joe Natale, president of TELUS Business Solutions said, "With just two months to go, the excitement around TELUS World Skins is clearly building. The combination of a talented field, a fantastic course and a welcoming community will make this year's Skins an event to remember in support of a worthy charitable partner, Opération Enfant Soleil."
Canada's Mike Weir, Fred Couples of the United States, Australian Geoff Ogilvy, South African and 2008 Masters Champion, Trevor Immelman, and England's Ian Poulter will battle it out in the popular Canadian summer golf event taking place on June 22 and 23.
