THIRD ROUND - Canadian Tour Florida Q-School

On a day when the previous tournament leaders were pushed aside and the scores seemed to balloon American Ryan Thomas tied the tournament low round with a seven-under par 65 to vault into a six-stroke lead after three days at the Canadian Tour's Florida Qualifying School in Brooksville.

Thomas' 36-hole 12 under par 204 leads the American pair of Tyler Harris, who shot 68, and second round co-leader Joseph Grenier, who struggled home with a 73. Both players are at 210.

At five under par 211 is Barry O'Neill who has made a remarkable turnaround after a first round 78. Well down the leaderboard, the Irishman has rebounded with rounds of 67-66 the past two days.

Americans Jason Anthony (71) Joe Johnson (72) and Canadian Matt Johnston, yesterday's co-leader who fell to a 75, are in fifth spot at 212.

Tied for eighth and holding the last exempt spot as of today are Brett Lederer (69) and John McLean (72) at 213.

The top nine players will receive 2009 Canadian Tour exempt status while the next nine and ties receive non-exempt cards.
