The face of professional golf in British Columbia is still adjusting to the new season and here are some of the recent changes that have occurred.
Stone Creek Properties, owner of Silvertip Resort in Canmore, Alberta and Eagle Ranch Golf Resort in Invermere, British Columbia has announced the appointment of Kelli Deane Fry as jSilvertip's new Head Professional and Manager of Golf Sales. Kelli spent eleven years at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, working her way up to the position of Head Golf Professional where she managed a team of 30. She replaces Tim Zado who has taken a position as Digital Marketing and Market Research manager for Stone Creek Properties, based in Calgary.
Murray Poje, the Founder and Executive Director of the Maple Leaf Junior Tour, has replaced Andy Girling as the new Head Professional at the executive par-54 Tsawwassen Golf & Country Club, owned by Whitespot Restaurant and Vancouver Giants WHL owner, Ron Toigo.
James Wickstrom has come out of retirement to be the Head Professional at Dawson Creek Golf & Country Club, replacing Brent Gray.
David Armstrong has transferred to BC from Ontario and is now at Salmon Arm Golf Club as an Associate Professional.
Kirk Smith has transferred to Ontario and is now an Associate Professional at Coppinwood Golf Club in Uxbridge.
Chris Doyle returns to Canada and is now a Teaching Professional at Northview Golf & Country Club in south Surrey. Also new to the staff at Northview is Kathy Stecyk as an Associate Professional.
Todd Tweedy is the new Apprentice Professional at Rossland Trail Country Club.
Mark Callan is now a Teaching Professional at Highland Pacific Golf
Chris Lutes is the new Apprentice Professional at Eaglequest - Coquitlam
Rory McMillan has transferred to BC from Ontario and is now an Associate Professional at Greenacres Golf Course in Richmond.
Craig Wilkinson is at Castlegar Golf Club as an Associate Professional
Jordan Caron is now an Apprentice Professional at the Victoria area's Bear Mountain Golf & Country Club.
Rodger Steinmann is the new Teaching Professional at Surrey Golf Course
Kevin Houde has left BC to become the new Head Professional at Albertya's Boulder Creek Golf Course near Calgary.
Chris Carmichael is now an Apprentice at Richmond Golf & Country Club

There are still some openings to be filled within the BC branch of the Canadian PGA.
Shadow Mountain Golf Course, the new facility scheduled to open near Cranbrook, BC in July. is looking for an Assistant/Associate Professional
Vancouver Parks Board is also looking for Assistant Professionals for the McCleery & Langara Golf Courses.
The Westin Bear Mountain Golf Resort & Spa, in Victoria is looking to fill the post of Director of Golf.

The BCGA Rules and Handicap Education Schedule has three dates remaining for the RCGA 209 Level 3 Rules of Golf program, including this week, April 3-5 at Seymour Golf Club in North Vancouver. Also April 24-25 at Kelowna Springs and May 1-4 at Royal Colwood in Victoria.
