Second Round - Canadian Tour Florida Q-School

Canadian Matt Johnson birdied the par-five 18th hole to post a round of one-under par 71 and grab a share of first place with American Joseph Grenier after two days into the Canadian Tour's Florida Qualifying School.

Johnson, who trailed Grenier by a stroke after the opening round, and Grenier, who opened with a seven-under 65, both sit at 137, half way through this qualifier and are two up on the field.

Sharing third spot at 139 are Welshman Ryan Thomas, who followed his 68 with a 71, and former UCLA Bruin Lucas Lee, who came home with a bogey-free 68.

Twenty players are within three strokes of the magic number that will see only the top nine players rewarded with 2009 Canadian Tour exempt status while the next nine and ties receive non-exempt cards. In the event of a tie for the last exempt spot, a playoff will determine the winner.
