BC Golf News is pleased to present the third in a series of Blogs by Canadian National Team member Kira Meixner of Richmond, BC, who is reporting from Lakeland, Florida this week while participating as an amateur in the Durammed FUTURES Tour Qualifying School, the official supplemental tour of the LPGA Tour.

Today I played my third round of the qualifier, and I shot an even-par 72.
It was a little bit of a roller coaster, but some days are just like that!
I started out with a birdie on my first hole, but quickly got back to even with a bogey on my third hole. After making bogey on my ninth hole and double on my tenth hole, I found myself at 3-over par. Fortunately I got back on track and birdied three of my last four holes to shoot 72.
I am pleased with the result and the position I'm in heading into the final round. My total is 213 and I'm tied for 8th place.
So far this week has been very enjoyable, and it's gone by so quickly. By the time the round is over each day and I've had a bite to eat and finished practicing, the day is over! There's never much time for anything else.
Tomorrow is the last day of the tournament, and I'm teeing off at 9 a.m. I better get some rest so I'm ready to play in the morning!
