Duramed FUTURES Tour Q-School -- Round 3

Led by another stellar performance from National Team member Kira Meixner of Richmond, BC, four Canadian women have survived to play in the final round of the Duramed FUTURES Tour Qualifying School in Lakeland, Florida Friday.

The 22-year-old reigning BC Amateur title-holder, who is playing as an amateur and intends to retain that status for one more season, added a second round of par 72 to Wednesday's 3-under par 69 and through 54 holes is tied for eighth place at 213, nine shots out of first place.

Amateur Pernilla Lindberg (69) of Bollnas, Sweden, and LPGA Tour member Hannah Jun (68) of San Diego, Calif., lead all players heading into the final round at 12-under-par 204.

Sixteen-year-old amateur Victoria Kiser (70) of Orlando, Fla., is five strokes back in solo third place at seven-under 209. First-round leader Maria Hernandez (70) of Pamplona, Spain, Jieun Oh (73) of Jejudo, South Korea, and Molly Birmingham (70) of Cornelius, N.C., are tied for fourth at 5-under-par 211.

Susan Nam, Edmonton, Alberta is in 39th place at 4-over 220 while Eom Ji Park of Vancouver, shares 54th place at 222 and Katrina Leckovic of Burnaby, is two shots further back and tied for 86th place at six over.

The total of 94 players who made the 54-hole cut at 8-over-par 224, will now finish their Q-School tournament with a final round at Cleveland Heights Golf Course.
