Blog #2
Today I played my second round in the FUTURES Tour Qualifier. I shot 69 (3-under) at Imperial Lakes Golf Course.
It was a great day overall - I made five birdies and two bogeys. I hit the ball well and made some long birdie putts and a couple of important par-saves.
Yesterday I shot 72 (even par) at Huntington Hills, and I was happy with how it turned out considering I was 3-over par after 14 holes. I finally got a birdie putt to drop on the par-3 7th hole (my 15th hole), and then I birdied 7 and 8 to get back to even. It was a nice way to end my first round, and I really tried to build on that momentum going into today.
My total is 141, and I'm currently tied for 7th place.
Pernilla Lindberg, a member of the Oklahoma State golf team, is leading the tournament at 9-under par.
Tonight I'm heading to a meeting for competitors who have not played on the FUTURES Tour before. I'm sure it will be interesting to get some more in depth information about the tour.
I'll be teeing off at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow morning at the final golf course, Cleveland Heights. I'm looking forward to playing my last two rounds there!
