While British Columbia's Chris Baryla of Vernon and Bryn Parry of North Vancouver await their opportunity in stage two, some 88 current and former Canadian Tour members teed off today at six American sites that make up the balance of stage one of the PGA TOUR's on-going Qualifying School.
At Spring, Texas, Stuart Anderson continues his PGA TOUR quest today along with Jason Anthony, Doug Batty, Rodney Butcher, George Bradford, Ryan Carter, Keven Fortin-Simard, Mike Grob, Richard Lee, Mark Leon, James Love, Randy Lowry, Brian McCann, Kyle Monfort, Anthony Rodriguez, Jeff Rangel and Drew Stoltz.
Wednesday, October 29, five more qualifiers get underway.
At Durham, N.C., Brett Bingham, Roberto Castro, Patrick Damron, Ben Ferguson, Brad Fritsch, Derek Gillespie, Craig Hicks, Shawn Jasper, Eric Johnson, Brock Mackenzie, Andy Matthews, Adam Short, Adam Speirs and Lee Williamson will be teeing it up.
In Hollister, Calif., Brandon Askew, Steve Friesen, James Hahn, Robert Hamilton, Matt Hansen, Luke Hickmott, Barrett Jarosch, Brian Kontak, Troy Kelly, Joe Lanza, Nick Manfre, Michael Nicoletti, Andrew Parr, Jim Seki, Byron Smith, Brian Smock, Justin Snelling, Ryan Thornberry, Julien Trudeau, Casey Watabu, Isaac Weintraub, Michael Wilson and Dong Yi are in the field.
At McKinney, Texas, the field includes Josh Geary, Stuart Hendley, Anders Hultman, Alan McLean, Dustin Risdon, Richard Scott, Jesse Smith and Chris Wall.
The field in Palm City, Fla., has Yohann Benson teeing it up alongside Peter Laws, Dan McCarthy, Sal Spallone and Jon Turcott.
At Santee, Calif., Steve Conway, Kent Eger, Ben Fox, Mitch Gillis, Jaime Gomez, Bret Guetz, Brian Guetz, Josh Habig, Brandon Knight, Jeff Lai, John Lieber, Greg McAuley, Scott Petersen, Madalisto Muthiya, Thomas Petersson, Clint Rice, Conner Robbins, Garrett Sapp, Antonio Serna, Brendan Steele and Michael Walton.
A total of 155 current and former Canadian Tour members entered the first stage that began last week.
In Beaumont, Texas last week Baryla and Parry successfully passed their test against horrendous winds and will now move onto Stage Two next month
