Port Alberni's Jackie Little - The Queen Of Senior Golf

Playing at Illahe Hills Country Club in Salem, Oregon, Little carded rounds of 75-73 to post a 2-over par total of 148 and record a four-stroke victory, her third senior title this year and her fourth championship of 2008.

Having earlier captured both the Canadian Senior Women's Amateur Championship and the provincial BC Senior title, in addition to her third consecutive BC Mid-Amateur crown, Little is now a leading candidate for PNGA Senior Women's Player of the Year.

Coming out on top in a strong field of 72, Little finished four shots in front of local favorite Terri Frohnmayer of Salem and was six up on defending champion and last year's Player of the Year, four-time Canadian Senior title holder Alison Murdoch of Victoria, BC and former U.S. Women's Amateur Champion Mary Budke of Eugene, Ore.

Seven-time PNGA Senior Women's Amateur Champion Joan Edwards-Powell of Portland tied for 7th at 159.

The PNGA Senior Women's Amateur is one of 15 regional championships conducted annually by the PNGA.
