Trinidadians Shut Out Canadians To Open Ames Cup

Steven Ames returned to his native Trinidad and Tobago this week to play host at the annual Stephen Ames Cup matches which pits players from his homeland against players from his adopted home in Canada.

Playing at the luxurious St. Andrews Golf Club in Moka, Trinidad the hosts jumped all over the Canadian Team, collecting all five points up for grabs in the 10 opening rounds of Best-Ball matches for the boys and girls.

There are 10 boys and 10 girls on each side with ages ranging from 14 to 18 competing in five age categories. Canadian players were selected from qualifying tournaments played on the Canadian Junior Golf Association Tour

The Walker Cup style matches concluded with Thursday's third round.
