The Golf Channel Comes to BC Today

The Golf Channel is paying a visit to Vancouver Wednesday to do a feature piece on one of Harry White's 'Little Masters'. Sumie Francois is the little eight-year-old who captured world honours down in San Diego a few weeks ago at the Calaway World Junior Golf Championships and she'll be the subject of a GC special coming up later this month.

The Golf Channel crew is apparently coming for a one-day visit because of the work of Harry and his volunteer pals with the Optimist Club of Canada who have been running their 'Little Masters' fun programs for kids from 5-15 for over 30 years and introducing fun golf for the likes of Dick Zokol, Jim Nelford, Doug Roxburgh, James Lepp, and most recently, the world's newest Junior Calaway Champion, Eugene Wong, the current BC Junior and BC Amateur title holder.
