Soo Bin Kim & Matthew Hamilton--BC Juvenile Champions

Playing at Shannon Lake Golf Course in Westbank, B.C., Kim maintained the top position with a final total of 9-over par 222 followed by 2008 Girls Junior Americas Cup individual champion Christine Wong of Richmond at 13-over 226. Anica Yoo of Port Coquitlam finished in third at 21-over 234 and Valentina Trillo of Port Moody held on for fourth at 24-over 237.

As part of the BC Golf Association's Long Term Player Development Model, Soo Bin Kim and Christine Wong will attend the Canada Games Training Camp next week in Charlottetown, P.E.I. Golf will be included for the first time ever at the 2009 Summer Games and the competition is considered to be one of the most competitive in the country.

Matthew Hamilton of West Vancouver, who held fast to the top of the leaderboard for all three days of tournament play, carded a final round 5-over par 75 to finish54 holes at 4-over 214 and won the BC Boys' Juvenile crown. Kevin Kwon of Coquitlam played steady for second place at 6-over 216 while two-day co-leader Scott McCormac of Campbell River slid to third at 8-over 218. Justin Fram of Kelowna rounds out the top four at 9-over 219.
