New Practice Aid Uses Doppler Radar For Precise Feedback

The Radar Pic.jpg(ATLANTA, GA) -- National Golf Products (NGP) -- makers of THE Golf Mat -- introduce The Radar powered by Zelocity, a patented distance management system featuring Doppler technology.

In a sport that demands distance control, The Radar is hyped by its maker as the first truly portable and affordable ball flight monitor that allows players of all ages and abilities to practice more efficiently wherever and whenever they want.

The Radar provides immediate feedback on shots ranging from 10 to 420 yards. Retailing for $299 (USD), it records ball velocity, carry and total distance with tremendous accuracy by taking 50,000 measurements from the moment of ball impact.

Already drawing rave reviews from scores of top courses, PGA Professionals and practice facilities, The Radar requires no setup or calibration, allowing players to simply put it down, turn it on and start hitting.

Suitable for right and left-handed players, The Radar is constructed of rugged plastic in a sturdy rubber boot with a stand. Running on one 9V Alkaline or Lithium Ion battery, it offers a 100-shot memory that is cleared each time the unit is powered off, and can provide session averages for ball velocity and distance. The Radar is portable like no other distance management system, weighing only 11oz. and measuring just 6" x 4" x 1".

The Radar is available at better pro shops and golf-specific retailers nationwide, including all Golfsmith locations, as well as online at www.thegolfmat.net.
