Miles Mortensen, Director of Golf at Tobiano, has announced that the new course in Kamloops has hired on the services of Global Golf Media to provide media and public relations for the new golf course.
Mortensen told the golf media "We are delighted to be working with Global Golf Media as we prepare to officially open Tobiano this spring."
Those close to the golf industry will know Global Golf Media's Brad Ewart and Hal Quinn who are both veterans of the golf and media business.
"As a golfer, and a golf journalist, it is a unique pleasure to play this wonderful new course," said Ewart. "And the Tobiano story is a pleasure to tell because it involves a dedicated and inspired ownership in Michael Grenier, a truly gifted designer in Tom McBroom, a talented and committed group starting with Miles Mortensen, and a golf course that is among the very best that I've ever played."
Ewart speaks from experience having played almost 800 courses in 31 countries. A long-time golf writer and broadcaster, in North America and Asia, as Executive Producer and host of the internationally syndicated television show The Golf Show Great Golf Destinations, Ewart and his guests travelled the world playing some of the game's finest golf courses.
Quinn, former sports editor and bureau chief for Maclean's Magazine, has also roamed the world playing golf and writing about the game and its players for SCOREGolf, Maclean's, Fairways + Greens, and a variety of North American and European publications.
The much-anticipated Tobiano is scheduled to open this spring. The course rests on a bluff on a portion of the fabled Six Mile Ranch. The award-winning architect McBroom has transformed rolling terrain with its fissures and arroyos, and mountain and Lake views into a stunningly beautiful 7,328-yard, par 72 masterpiece.
