The Jack Nicklaus-designed, 18-hole Bear Mountain golf course is one of Vancouver Island's premium, year-round courses. Impeccably manicured fairways and greens are perched atop spectacular plateaus providing some breathtaking vistas of the Pacific Ocean and the city of Victoria. Bear Mountain Fairways are sodded with "Perennial Rye" grass, all greens were seeded with "Bent" grass and dormant areas are waves of fescue adding an additional feature to the finished design. The course is groomed at first light so players may enjoy their round without interruption and is open for public play. Green Fees: From $125. THE FAIRMONT CHATEAU WHISTLER - FOUR COURSE PACKAGE BC

Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. the par 72, 18-hole course traverses creeks, ponds, stands of ancient Douglas Firs and granite rock faces.

Carved out of the slopes of the Coast Mountain range, with elevation changes of more than 400 ft. overall, Whistler is rapidly being recognized worldwide as a premier golf destination. GREYWOLF GOLF COURSE, PANORAMA MOUNTAIN VILLAGE - BRITISH COLUMBIA

There is always either a mountain or forest backdrop, so you never lose your ball against the sky. Greywolf also uses bent grass on the tees, fairways and greens. There is a practice facility perched loftily over the clubhouse and first hole which offers an excellent view of the signature hole "Cliffhanger". THE DELTA KANANASKIS COUNTRY GOLF COURSE - ALBERTA
Less than a one hour drive from Calgary in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, golfing architect legend Trent Jones' created the Kananaskis Country Golf Course in a mountain landscape towering 10,000 feet above see level. The courses themselves are at almost 5,000 feet. THE FAIRMONT JASPER PARK LODGE - ALBERTA
Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge exemplifies the Grand Canadian Lodge Experience. The rustic charm and log cabins, the fine cuisine and lake setting make for a most pleasant holiday. The JPL golf course was designed by the renowned course architect Stanley Thompson in 1925, and features undulating fairways, panoramic views of mountains and forests, and even the occasional wildlife spectator - however, the green keepers do not enjoy filling and grooming Moose footprints some mornings in the early dawn! The 18-hole layout offers elevated tee boxes, bunkers patterned after the snow formation on the mountains and holes aligned with distant mountain vistas. DEERHURST HIGHLANDS RESORT, MUSKOKA - ONTARIO

Rocky Crest's 18-hole championship golf course, designed by Thomas McBroom, has earned rave reviews for its distinctive granite outcroppings, seamless routing and log-cabin-style clubhouse. Sculpted out of the Canadian Shield of Muskoka, it is framed by a forest of pine, white birch and hemlock. The fairways are accented by deep bunkers and granite outcroppings that provide definition and challenge. Overlooking Lake Joseph on 700 acres of Muskoka woodland, the Delta Rocky Crest Resort is another reason to make the drive up from Toronto. THE LINKS AT CROWBUSH COVE - PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND
